The ARCS Motivational Model states that "Without a desire to learn, retention is unlikely. Thus, teachers should strive to create a deeper motivation in learners to learn new skills." There are four main points of the ARCS model. 'Attention', being the first point, simply states that lessons are designed to gain a students attention using alternative techniques. 'Relevance' states that students must be able to see relevance in the lesson. Students are 'Challenged achieve the best and when they complete that they gain confidence. 'Satisfaction' is obtained when a student gains success in achieving their objective.

Since my last posting I found out new ways to look for pictures and clip art on the Internet. This is helpful for making my documents more creative and this allows me to obtain just the right picture.

I can not believe that I am about to spend $117 on a book. I don't really want yo buy it, but i know that I do not have a choice in the matter. Looks like I am going to be picking up extra shifts at work this week...fun fun

I feel you on the book purchasing point. I can't help but feel that somebody, somewhere, must be getting some kind of monetary benefit from pushing this fantastic "training software" on this class.

I know I had to pick up a few shifts myself to pay for the book and CD. I cant believe we pay this much for an education, but it's worth it in the end!
